Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his maiden title for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in especial - led to him falling of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's initial title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface since spring of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one distinct events.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my children together, so to get a title is really nice," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his previous six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's counter-punching strategy and regular reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to doubt if his skill to perform at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the player has altered his approach in the past month, striving to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the opening set against the challenging opponent, winning 4 of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour title, took control to force a final set.
Moutet rescued four early opportunities in a tight third set before the champion won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner earned the win with a shot at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
